Lieutenant Colonel Michael W. Kamorski: Director of Operations

Lt Col Kamorski is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies assigned to the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 890, University of Virginia, Charlottesville. The detachment has seven cadre members and 150 cadets located at the University of Virginia, Liberty University, James Madison University, and Piedmont Valley Community College.

Lt Col Kamorski was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force in 1990 through the University of Massachusetts ROTC program. Following Intercontinental Ballistic Missile training, he served as Combat Crew Commander, instructor, evaluator, and Chief of Emergency War Order training at Malmstrom AFB, Montana. He has held a variety of positions in nuclear testing and evaluation, served as an Air Officer Commanding at the US Air Force Academy, and worked staff positions at Air Space Command Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO, and USAF Headquarters, the Pentagon, Washington, DC. He also served on the USAF Director of Operations' Commander's Action Group preparing speeches and congressional testimony. Most recently, he served as Squadron Commander of the 392nd Training Squadron at Vandenberg AFB, CA.
