The University offers professional training programs in gerontology and geriatrics in the Schools of Medicine and Nursing. The Institute on Aging is working to incorporate the study of aging into the curriculum as a legitimate field in every discipline: urban planning, architecture, education, biology, psychology, the biomedical sciences, engineering, commerce, business, and law.

Our long-term goal is to develop students as leaders in the field of aging through both undergraduate and graduate programs that offer instruction, real-world learning experiences, independent research, and service activities.
