The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Summer Science Learning Community is only open to incoming freshmen students planning to major in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The program aids first-semester freshmen in making a successful transition from high school to college. The program provides an academic curriculum, access to student support services, and an environment in which students can acclimate to campus and develop effective academic strategies.
LS AMP Program
The LSAMP programís goal is to enhance studentsí commitment to higher education with a particular emphasis on increasing the enrollment and graduation rate of underrepresented minorities earning baccalaureate degrees in science, technology, science and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

Participants in the LS AMP Summer Science Learning Community receive a stipend of $1,000, tuition, fees, insurance, room and board. The program period is June 22, 2008 to July 17, 2008.
Open to U.S. Citizens and Permanent U.S. Residents only. We are especially interested in applications from students who have a strong academic record and planning to major in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).
