Andrew Greene is the Sustainability Planner in the Office of the Architect for the University of Virginia.  In this role, he is responsible for coordinating University-wide sustainability initiatives, assisting new building and renovation projects with LEED certification, developing a Greenhouse Gas Emissions reduction plan, and staffing the President’s Committee on Sustainability.  Andrew has worked at UVa since October 2004. Prior to becoming the Sustainability Planner, Andrew was the GIS Planner in the Office of the Architect and worked closely with Senior Land Use Planner Julia Monteith on developing the 2008 UVa Grounds Plan, 2006 Sustainability Assessment, and the 2005 Guidelines for Sustainable Buildings and Environmental Design. Prior to coming to Charlottesville, Andrew worked for the Montgomery County, MD Department of Environmental Protection.
