Master Plan

Serving the Larger Community
The University is a cultural institution of international significance as well as the major corporate citizen of the Charlottesville-Albemarle County community. Its land mass also has an important role within the local and regional environments. The University's future plans should seek to benefit the larger community, whether at a local, state or international scale. Planning initiatives in support of this principle include:

Developing safe and attractive entrances to the University such as the North Grounds Connector from the U.S. 250 bypass
Making roadway and corridor improvements along major University connections such as along Jefferson Park Avenue and West Main Street
Developing a strategic plan for water resources and stormwater management

Parking and Transportation
Water Resources Management

Planning Workshops
