In honor of Freceric W. Scott Tree species/ Common name: Magnolia grandiflora - Southern Magnolia (4) Location: Brooks Hall East Date Planted: 1980 Mrs. Frederic W. Scott was born Elizabeth Pinkerton on April 24, 1915. In 1938, she married Frederic W. Scott. Mrs. Scott attended Sweet Briar College and served on its Board. She has served as president of the Pink Ladies, a volunteer organization with Martha Jefferson Hospital. She also has served on the Board of the Miller Center for 25 years and was president of the Garden Club of Virginia.
