Research Interests: Roman urbanism, digital technologies in archaeology
Sean graduated from George Mason University in the Fall of 2009. His undergraduate research was focused on the history of the late Roman Republic and the early Empire, with a minor focus on early Hellenistic history. His undergraduate thesis focused on the influences of classical architecture on Washington, DC. While at George Mason, Sean became interested in the archaeological applications of digital technology, such as GIS and 3D site modelling software. Following his undergraduate work, Sean was a staff archaeologist working with the Colchester Archaeological Research Team in Fairfax County, Virginia. His research interests at UVa center on Roman urbanism and the applications of digital technology to archaeology.
