Associate Professor, Sculpture

William Bennett has taught sculpture at the University of Virginia since 1979. He earned his MFA in sculpture from Indiana University, and shortly thereafter received an Artist's Fellowship Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Since joining the Department of Art Mr. Bennett has regularly exhibited his work in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the East coast, often focusing his attention on site-specific sculpture. He regularly teaches all levels of sculpture, and currently serves as Chairperson of the Studio Art division of the department.
