Dean Dass teaches printmaking in the Department of Art. After receiving a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa, he went on to study at the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia where he earned his MFA in 1980. With numerous solo and group exhibitions to his credit, Mr. Dass has shown his work throughout the U.S., and has in recent years established a collaboration and friendship with peers in Finland where he has begun to exhibit as well. His works are held in wide-ranging collections — from the Alvar Aalto Museum in Finland, to the National Collection of Poland in Krakow, to the Brooklyn Museum. He frequently teaches all levels of printmaking, as well as printmaking courses which focus on the art of the book and papermaking.
