Professor, Painting

Megan Marlatt earned her B.F.A. at the Memphis College of Art and went on to study at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. Shortly after completing the M.F.A. at Rutgers University, she joined the faculty of the University of Virginia. Mural paintings and site-specific works represent a significant part her work, and she has completed commissions for a number of public and private institutions. Her painting has been recognized through a number of grants and fellowships, including a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Ms. Marlatt teaches introductory drawing courses as well as all levels of painting, frequently with an emphasis on fresco and mural painting for public spaces.
