ALWAYS USE APPROPRIATE PPE WHEN USING THIS MACHINE

SAFETY FOR THIS MACHINE:

  • DO NOT operate while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication
  • SECURE any loose fitting jewelry or clothing, tie back long hair - they can get caught in moving parts
  • DO NOT REMOVE any pieces of this tool other than the chisel attachments
  • SECURE the workpiece to avoid serious injury
  • ALWAYS USE a sharp chisel
  • DISCONNECT TOOL from power source when changing chisels
  • USE ONLY ARBORTECH CHISELS with this tool. DO NOT USE STANDARD CHISELS
  • DO NOT USE THIS CHISEL ON ANY MATERIAL OTHER THAN WOOD
  • DO NOT FORCE the tool into the wood at steep angles
  • DO NOT USE the chisel as a lever to break out wood
  • CHISEL SHAFTS BECOME VERY HOT during prolonged use

OTHER THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN USING THIS MACHINE:

  • THE CHISELS FOR THIS TOOL ARE FOR WOOD ONLY
  • To remove chisels, press the chisel locking button and remove chisel from the extension arm
  • Machine oil should be regularly added to lubricate the cam. Squeeze a drop into the lubrication port every 15 minutes of operation
  • Use a maximum 25º angle when removing wood
  • Make sure the machine is running BEFORE contacting the material to be worked on
  • This tool should be used with two hands. One hand should hold the tool body, while the other hand holds the chisel extension arm
  • Use only medium pressure, as the stroke is delivered at constant power, speed and length, and will not cut faster by forcing the tool
