Writer's Eye Rules
This contest is open to writers from third grade through adult who
visit the University Art Museum, 155 Rugby Road. A list of the Writer's
Eye art selections and contest entry forms are available at the front
desk of the Museum. Contestants write an original poem or short story that
is a personal response to one of these works of art.

Entry forms are available in the Museum.

Poems are limited to two standard sized pages in length.

Prose entries are limited to 1000 words.

Entries must be original, never before published work by the author.

Writers grant permission to the University Art Museum to publish entries.

Submit 3 copies (paper clip together) for elementary grades 3-5, high school
and university/adult.

Submit 4 copies (paper clip together) for middle school grades 6-8.

Entries will not be returned.

Only one entry is allowed per writer.

Only winners will be notified by mail and announced on this web site.

The Museum reserves the right to eliminate a category if entries are insufficient
in number or quality.

Prizes will be awarded at a ceremony on Sunday, February 24, 2002.

Entries must be received at the Museum by 5:00 PM, Friday,
November
30, 2001.
