Competition Rules

In all cases, please create a Microsoft Word document.  Type and single space your document.  Remember to save a copy.  If you are a winner, you will be asked to resubmit your entry via email.
Do not type your name on any copy.  To insure impartial judging, your name appears on the entry form only. 
Please fill out an entry form and staple it to the front page of ONE copy.

On EACH page submitted, please include:

1) The title of your poem or story and

2) The name of the work and the artist that inspired your entry.

Grades 3-8: Submit FOUR (4) copies.

Grades 9-adult: Submit TWO (2) copies.

Entries must be received at the Museum no later than 5:00PM,

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2004

Please Note:

Failure to comply with these rules may disqualify your entry. 

Writers give permission to the University of Virginia Art Museum to publish entries.  Manuscripts will not be returned.

The University of Virginia Art Museum reserves the right to eliminate a category if entries are insufficient in number or quality.
