A virtual gallery, resource toolkit, and collaborative meeting space for new media artists of all disciplines at UVA. This spring UvaNewMedia is hosting collaborative efforts related to the "Collage Initiative" between the University of Virginia and the Philips Collection. UvaNewMedia website offers individual class resources and results, and the "Collaborative Gallery" leads to the results of UVa classes working together.

American Collage Exhibition UVA Art Museum, January 23-August 22.

The exhibition inaugurates a unique partnership between The Phillips Collection and the University. UVA will present a host of multidisciplinary events related to the collage theme, including lectures, gallery talks, films, performances, and K-12 programs. University of Virginia students from the departments of Art, English, American Studies and Media Studies will collaborate on related projects, research, and the creation of a comprehensive web portal.

The exhibition features works from the Museum collection (by Joseph Cornell, Conrad Marca-Relli, Louise Nevelson, Adja Yunkers, and Andy Warhol) and loans from The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. (works by Alexander Calder, Arthur Dove, Albert Eugene Gallatin, and Robert Motherwell).
