Writer’s Eye
Now celebrating its 20th year, the Writer’s Eye invites youth in grades 3–12, University students and adults to submit original prose and poetry compositions inspired by selected works on view in the Museum.
For 2006-2007, the major focus of the program was the special exhibition Complicit! Contemporary American Art & Mass Culture. Area teachers and writers judge all entries. High school and University/adult entries are judged by noted authors and poets. Winners are honored at an annual ceremony in the spring and winning entries are published in an anthology.
Docent-led tours and self-guided are tours available and must be scheduled in advance. 2007-2008 tours will be available for booking in summer of 2007.
