The University of Virginia Art Museum exhibits art from around the world dating ancient times to the present. In addition to its permanent collection, the Museum offers changing exhibitions exhibitions, accompanied by related programs and publications.

Faculty Resources Faculty may reserve the Museum’s Iron Gate Study Gallery for seminars and to make works available from the collection for research, class papers and exams. To reserve please contact AnaMarie Liddell at 243-8874 or email.
Faculty may guest curate or suggest exhibitions in conjunction with courses. Contact curator of collections and exhibitions Andrea Douglas at 924-6322.
Docent-led tours may be designed to meet the needs of any class or group. Contact Education Staff or call 243-2050.
Student Resources Students interested in exploring Museum careers can become docents, interns, and fellows; many other volunteer and paid opportunities are available annually. Fourth-year students are eligible to become UIP interns at the Museum and receive academic credit for their part-time work. Graduate students are invited to apply for the Luzak-Linder Fellow Graduate Fellowship. Students of all academic interests and years may also volunteer in many departments in the Museum.
The U.Va. student docents are an official University organization. Student docents give tours
to U.Va. faculty and students, school students and community organizations. Monthiy docent education sesions are offered in the evening in the Museum's galleries. Students also organize the annual Early Visions mentoring program. To apply contact Education Staff or call 243-2050.
