Join us on the Final Fridays for the Museum's most popular recurring social event. Enjoy lively conversation with friends, connect with art, listen to music and snack on tasty food and drink. The Final Friday receptions are held from from 5:30-7:30 on the Final Fridays of August, September, October, January, February, March, and April. Often special programs are planned before Final Fridays begin; for more information check UVaM's lectures and events page. Final Fridays are a benefit of UVaM membership and through the support of the Arts$ program, student membership is free.

Featuring two dance performances on UVaM's terrace inspired by the special exhibition The Dancer and the Dance.
U.Va. students in the Dance Minor Program will perform two special site-specific pieces choreographed by U.Va. faculty members Kim Brooks Mata, Interim Head and Artistic Director of Dance, and Susan Barnard, Adjunct Faculty in Dance. Performances will be held at 6 pm and repeated at 6:30 pm. Percussionist Matt Wyatt will provide musical accompaniment.
The University of Virginia Art Museum exhibits art from around the world dating from ancient times to the present. In addition to its permanent collection, the Museum offers changing exhibitions, accompanied by related programs and publications.
