Rising 4th-12th graders (8-18). The sessions will be divided into three groups, roughly ages 8-11, 12-14, 15-18.

Includes participation in all studio art classes, art supplies, daily snacks, and field trips. Students are welcome to sign up for more than one session as each one will be unique. Scholarships
We offer a limited number of scholarships to youth with financial need who are interested in the arts. A form and references are required to be considered for a scholarship. The form can also be found on our website. For assistance, call 434.243.2050.
An exhibition of artwork produced by the Summer Arts students will be held at the UVAM August 10Ð17 with a reception on Sunday, August 13, 2Ð5pm.
We offer three apprentices the opportunity to learn as they work in the Summer Arts camps under the supervision of the artists who are presenting the studio sessions. They will be tasked with leading the students in their routines throughout the day. Apprenticeships include free tuition, supplies and daily lunches. Please note on your application that you are interested in one of these positions.
Every week the students will go on a field trip to the University of Virginia Art Museum to see the Humanism and Enigma and the Art/Not Art exhibitions.They will hear artists talk about their work, have Docent-led tours and experience workshops in related fields that complement their art sessions.These include electives such as dance, architecture and music.
