The Writer's Eye invites youth in grades 3-12,
University students and adults to submit original
prose and poetry compositions inspired by
particular works on view in the Museum. This year
a major focus of the program will be the special
exhibitions William Christenberry: Site/Possession and The Dresser Trunk Project. Area teachers and
writers judge all entries. High school and University/
adult entries are judged by noted au thors and poets.
Winners are honored at an annual ceremony in the
spring and winning entries are published in an anthology. Docent-led tours and self-guided tours are
available. Both must be scheduled in advance;
call 434.243.2050.
