The Arts at the University of Virginia is dedicated to building on innovative research and fostering inspired expression that equips us for the future.
All full-time enrolled, degree-seeking U.Va. students—including undergraduate and graduate students in any school—can reserve one free student ticket online for various performances around grounds and can register for a free student membership to the The Fralin Museum of Art.
U.Va. student ticket reservations for Arts$ supported events, including most drama, music and Virginia Film Festival events, can be made online and end the day before an event or when the allocation of complimentary tickets is exhausted. Student tickets are not transferable, and U.Va. students must present their student ID at the Arts Box Office or at the venue box office to pick up their ticket. Free U.Va. student tickets that are not picked up at least 30 minutes before an event may be released to allow other patrons at the door the opportunity to purchase tickets. U.Va. students must present their tickets and student IDs at the door for admission.
U.Va. Arts Box Office is located in the lobby of the U.Va. Drama Building and is open Monday through Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm.
You can register online to activate your student membership or stop by the Museum Tuesday-Sunday, 1-5 pm. Free admission to the Final Fridays Receptions is a benefit of your student membership. Visit the The Fralin Museum of Art web site or call 434.924.3592 for more information.
Arts$ are used to support the exhibitions and programs at the Art Department each year. Events occur throughout the academic year and are free to everyone! Visit the McIntire Department of Art web site or call 434.924.6123 for more information.
The Department of Drama produces six productions each academic year featuring undergraduate and graduate students. Visit the Department of Drama web site for box office hours, ticket sale dates and information on the current production schedule.
The Music Department hosts over 100 events each year; most accept Arts$. We have a concert for every musical taste, from orchestral to vocal, African to Klezmer, and large ensembles to solo recitals. For a complete listing of concerts, visit the McIntire Department of Music web site.
