Arts$ for U.Va. Students
Did you know U.Va. students can enjoy Art, Film, Music and Theater at the University of Virginia for FREE?
What are Arts$ and who gets them?
Included in all full-time U.Va. students' tuition, a $12 portion of the Activities Fee contributes to the Arts$ program and gives each student:
  • $60 worth of tickets to Music and Drama events
  • $15 worth of tickets to Virginia Film Festival events
  • A free U.Va. Art Museum membership, including admission to the Museum's Final Fridays Receptions
  • Arts$ also support the Department of Art's exhibitions and programs by students and visiting artists.

That's right ... all full-time U.Va. students get Arts$! This includes full-time undergraduate students in any school; full-time graduate students in any school, including Medical, Law and Darden students; and full-time students enrolled in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. To be considered full-time, a student must be signed up for 12 credit hours per semester.

Remember, Arts$ are fully replenished every academic year at the start of the fall semester so that you can keep enjoying U.Va. arts events as long as you are here. That's a value of over $140 of arts events each academic year!

Just like student meal plans and Cavalier Advantage, Arts$ is an account connected to a student's ID number and ID card. Just swipe your card or give your ID number as a method of payment. Arts$ box office policies can differ per department. Here is a summary to help you start attending arts events at U.Va. today.
