I am a Ph.D. student in Henry Wilbur's lab and conduct my field work at Mountain Lake Biological Station. I am interested in questions relating to community ecology and am currently examining potential interactions between earthworms and salamanders. Evidence suggests that at least one species of salamander may be using burrows of invasive earthworms as refuges. However, invasive earthworms may indirectly compete with salamanders for food. I am also interested in looking at behavior and ecology of the invasive earthworms that now dominate the community and how they may differ from the native species that have been displaced from the area.
