Rick Orli: glass blowing demo and a demo of other “light industrials” Clarke County Historical Association / Burwell Morgan Mill: milling wheat using using a set of very old stones. The Beekeepers of the NSV: At their booth, they will
demonstrate how to make beeswax candles Greenway Welding Inc.: using a coal forge and an anvil, Albert Anderson will demonstrate blacksmithing of small items. Larger items will be on display. Red
Deer Pottery: Sandy Fanning will be in period costume as she uses a kick wheel to make stoneware pottery. Ballata People: Ballata is a musical group which will perform music of c. 1603. They will also
demonstrate spinning of the Jamestown early settlement era. The Old Tyme Apple Growers: Using a hand press, the Old Tymers will show us how to make apple cider and offer samples.
Demos – but not from the 17th or 18th century.
The Wood Wranglers: using a free standing engine, Tim Kirk will demonstrate how to cut very large pieces of raw logs into lumber. The Apple Valley Wood Turners will demonstrate how to turn a piece of
wood into something beautiful – right before our eyes! |
