Description: There are three themes available. In each, students explore the natural world using their senses and powers of observation through a variety of activities. Plants and Trees – Examine trees and plants up close and personal! Students will learn about trees through a Tree poem and our own “tree Hotel”. We will hike to look for leaf shapes and then return to make bookmarks or placemats of these shapes. Food Webs – Explore connections among animals and their environment. Students will learn about food webs as we make masks of different players in a local food web, hike to ‘I Spy’ animals on the grounds and learn what certain organisms do in different seasons. Weather – Observing clouds, wind, and how the weather affects animals and nature. We will be outside for a portion of the program as we look for clouds, sun, wind and the effects of weather on organisms and objects in nature. We will also make a cloud mobile. Available for rotation - Not at this time |
