The Virginia Native Plant Trail

The Virginia Native Plant Trail

The Arboretum began construction of the Virginia Native Plant Trail in 1997, thanks to a substantial contribution from Winchester philanthropist Nancy Larrick Crosby.

The woodland portion of the trail is nearly complete; plans call for the trail to encompass a meadow portion and a wetland portion and will be developed as funding allows.

Natural limestone outcrops dot the landscape and stone work is intended to add to the natural feel of the trail.
