KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Develops and coordinates fund-raising projects and day-to-day administration for the Foundation of the State Arboretum.

MAJOR GOALS OF THE POSITION : This position plays a pivotal role in supporting current and future outreach activities of the State Arboretum of Virginia, especially K-12 Environmental Education, public educational workshops, and care for the woody plant collections of the State Arboretum.

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience with fundraising and accounting practices

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or similar field; advanced degree in public administration or non-profit management.

Work Experience : Demonstrated success with fund-raising, volunteer organizations and nonprofit administration; working with a Board of Directors & the public; managing budgets & accounts; familiarity with non-profits & institutes of higher education.

Certification : Certified Fund Raising Executive credential

Computer Software : Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, DonorPerfect

SALARY RANGE: $40,959 – mid-50’s. Larger range listed in job description is for all University positions in this pay band.
