ACTION ITEM
- This
item requires action by the External Affairs Committee and the
Board of Visitors.
- PLANNED
GIFT ACCEPTANCE POLICY -- The Board of Visitors approved the current
Planned Gift Acceptance Policy in 1982. New investment vehicles,
changes in the investment market, and changes in income and estate
tax law have made planned gifts more complex. The University's
organizational structure with respect to planned gifts has changed.
Existing policy needs to be updated to reflect these changes.
- The
proposed policy (in Docket) reflects current practice and replaces
the existing policy in its entirety.
