change from the Department of Biochemistry to the Department

degree offered by the department. The new degree will be called
a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. The Faculty
Senate has approved the change. It will be reported to the State
Council for Higher Education in Virginia (SCHEV) if the Board
of Visitors assents to the change.
