- ADVISORY
COUNCIL BYLAWS - Recommends changing the name of the organization
and revising the Bylaws to specify those areas where the local
Clinch Valley College Board has authority to act on behalf of
the Board of Visitors.

REPORTS BY THE CHANCELLOR OF CLINCH VALLEY COLLEGE
- A.
CHANCELLOR’S REMARKS - The Chancellor will report on items of
interest to the Committee.
- B.
POSSIBLE NAME CHANGE OF COLLEGE - Clinch Valley College conducted
an external marketing study in the Spring of 1998. One of the
findings of the study noted confusion about the College’s name,
so the Advisory Council requested a formal review of whether or
not the College’s name should be changed. The Chancellor will
outline the review process.
- C.
RADIO STATION WCVC - The Chancellor will report on the status
of WCVC, Clinch Valley College’s new public radio station.
- D.
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN GUIDELINES COMMITTEE - The newly established
Architectural Design Guidelines Committee is charged with developing
guidelines for the appearance of current and future construction
projects at Clinch Valley College. The Chancellor will summarize
the work of the committee.
