A. PRELIMINARY DESIGN, EAST PRECINCT CHILLER PLANT
-
Approves the design for a project that supports the new
Biomedical Engineering and Medical Research Building, allows
the retirement of aging, inefficient chillers in existing
buildings, and provides service to the hospital.

B. PRELIMINARY DESIGN, NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE UNITS
- Approves the design for an addition to the MR-4 building.

C. SCHEMATIC DESIGN, OBSERVATORY HILL DINING RENOVATION-
Approves the design for a project that increases seating
capacity from 635 to 920, improves customer flow and offerings,
and upgrades the buildings infrastructure.

D. SCHEMATIC DESIGN, SCIENCE BUILDING - THE UNIVERSITY
OF VIRGINIA'S COLLEGE AT WISE- Approves the design
for a project that renovates the Science Building for
physics, astronomy, and geology, and builds an addition
for biology and chemistry.

E. SIX-YEAR CAPITAL OUTLAY PLAN - Approves the
Six-Year Capital Outlay Plan for the Academic Division,
the Medical Center, and the University of Virginias College
at Wise for the 2000-2006 period.

REPORTS BY THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET
-
A. VICE PRESIDENT'S REMARKS- The Vice President
for Management and Budget will inform the Board of recent
events that do not require formal action, but of which
it should be made aware.

B. REPORT ON ACTIONS OF THE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
COMMITTEE- Mr. Small will report on actions taken
by the Buildings and Grounds Committee at a meeting
held on February 25, 1999.
