I. REPORTS BY THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR DEVELOPMENT

A. VICE PRESIDENT'S REMARKS - Mr. Sweeney will review a range of fund-raising initiatives and report on overall fundraising and program progress.

1. ALUMNI ON-LINE COMMUNITY - Report on plans for an alumni Internet network to communicate and offer services to alumni University-wide.

2. INTERNET "SUMMIT" - Report on plans to convene at the University a group of alumni involved in high technology and Internet enterprises.

3. BENCHMARKING PEER GROUP - Discuss the appropriate national peer group for charting fund-raising progress.

4. ARTS PRECINCT FEASIBILITY - Report on efforts to conduct a philanthropic marketing study for the proposed Arts Grounds.

B. PHILANTHROPIC CASH FLOW - Assess cash flow progress, citing any trends in annual capital and planned gift support.

C. CAMPAIGN PROGRESS - Report progress through January 31, 1999. Review benchmarks for charting overall Campaign progress. Comment on major gift activity.
