to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's
changed, take a look here first.
Important Policy Regarding Access to Student Financial Information
We must have explicit permission to talk with parents or others about students’ accounts. Students must complete the Authorization to Release Financial Information form to grant permission. Go to http://www.virginia.edu/registrar/privacyact.html for further information about the University’s Policy on FERPA.
See the Parent Presentation “Money Matters” and the handouts being given during Summer Orientation.
ALL STAFFORD LOAN BORROWERS – You must send us information about which lender you will be using during the 2008-2009 academic year. We cannot process your loan without it. Please return the Financial Aid Change form to indicate which lender you prefer or send your choice to lenderchoice@virginia.edu.
Late
Payment Fees
Payment
for
tuition and fees, room and board received after the January 3rd
due date may cause a late fee of $50 or 1.5% of the past due balance
(whichever is greater) to be assessed to the student's account.
If you believe the late fee has been charged in error, you must
petition in writing for a late fee waiver. Please send an email to: studentaccounts@virginia.edu
Please include as much information and supporting documentation
to explain your situation. Letters must be received by February
14, 2008 to be considered. Please note that failure to receive a
bill is NOT a legitimate reason to have late fees waived.
