Yellow Cab Program
The Yellow Cab Program provides taxi service to U.Va. students who find themselves in uncomfortable situations with no reliable or safe means of transportation and no money for cab fare. Students can call Yellow Cab, charge the ride to U.Va., and be billed later that month -- no questions asked.

Late Night Bus Service
UTS is now self servicing Extended Late Night Service. Service will be provided on the Northline and Outer U-Loop after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights during Full Service from 12:30am-2:30am. Safe Ride
SafeRide’s purpose is to provide a safe passage for current students with vaild student IDs who would otherwise have to walk alone at night. The service began as a cooperative venture of Student Council and the University of Virginia Police Department in the late 1980s. Contact SafeRide after midnight only at

Dedicated Pick-Up: One SafeRide vehicle is devoted to pick up passengers near the Alderman/Clemons Library, when the library is in operation - Sunday through Thursday mornings.
