Overview

The U.Va. Nursing Alumni Association and Cavalier Travels have partnered to create this unique service opportunity to go to Vietnam and provide much-needed basic medical services to a large orphanage and several villages in the poorest regions of the country. You will work with English-speaking Vietnamese nursing students as translators who will learn from you as you work together.

Use your expertise to help make the world a better place for some of the poorest people. You will offer medical checkups, administer vaccines and conduct a hygiene class for the children. Non-health-care-related companions or spouses are welcome and may participate in service in various ways. We will do some sightseeing along the way and the option for a resort vacation for a few days at the end is available.
