“ ALMA and Synergies with the GBT in Interstellar Astrochemistry”

ALMA is moving toward its commissioning, early science and operational phases. Discussion about further instrumental development has begun. As the GBT high frequency performance reaches its goals, instrumentation to take advantage of its capabilities has become a topic of discussion. Synergies between the telescopes define some possible paths for development. Examples of these include surveys at 3mm to guide targeting of ALMA’s more restricted field of view and receiver development in the 67-90 and 31-45 GHz bands that are uninstrumented on ALMA.
