Edgar F. Beckham is Dean of the College Emeritus of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He joined the Ford Foundation in 1990 as a Program Officer in the Education and Culture Program. He coordinated the Foundation's Campus Diversity Initiative until 1998. Beckham is now Senior Fellow at the Association of American Colleges and Universities, where he continues his work on campus diversity with support from the Ford Foundation. A Connecticut native, Beckham moved to the Foundation after twenty-eight years of service at Wesleyan, including seventeen years as Dean of the College. Beckham was Chairman of the Connecticut State Board of Education from 1972 to 1995. He also chairs the Board of the Donna Wood Foundation and is a Trustee of Mt. Holyoke College.     Edgar F.
