A Note from the GSC President

On behalf of the UVA Chemistry Graduate Student Council (GSC), I would like to welcome you to our website. The Chemistry GSC is a group of graduate students dedicated to improving graduate student relations through both social and academic events. We also serve as the primary liaison between chemistry graduate students and the faculty in our department. We meet once per month to plan future events such as the student-invited Jefferson Lecture in Chemistry, summer picnics, food and clothing drives, and recruitment. In addition, monthly GSC meetings offer a forum for graduate students to express their opinions and concerns about departmental issues. We hope that you will find the information provided on these pages informative and helpful. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you might have about graduate student life in the Chemistry department at UVA.
