We have compiled a list of useful links for new graduate students, including links to common resources you will use as a scientist in the department.

In addition, there are links to resources from two symposiums. The GSC hosted the two symposiums in 2006, which were designed to provide information to students regarding two important aspects of their future careers. The symposioums were informal presentations with Q&A sessions and were given by people with personal experience in the areas covered. The first symposium was designed to give a range of options about careers outside of academia, including the types of jobs available and how to approach applying for these types of jobs. The second dealt with finding and applying for grants, an important skill for future researchers.
