How do you express being Muslim in ways similar to the ways your mother expressed her Islamic faith? Praying, fasting, no alcohol, Muslim celebrations
How you do you express being Muslim differently from your mother? No difference
How do you make your home a sacred space? My living room is an area where we pray, read Koran, etc.
Is there an object in your house that reflects a way your mother or grandmother practiced? Not really
Is there an object that reflects your own expression of being Muslim? The Koran, a painting on the wall with some sourate (quotations) from the Koran written in Arabic.
What is one thing you would like to transmit to your children? Being a good Muslim; having faith in God; being loyal, honest, polite, and respectful; and preserving their identity.
What is one aspect of Islam that you would feel sad about if your children did not perpetuate? Praying, fasting
