The Shannon Foundation is delighted to have the support of PTO organizations throughout the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. We share with these groups a deep commitment to excellence in public education and a desire to help teachers provide the best possible learning environment for children.

Many area PTOs have expressed their support for our teacher grants by making very generous donations to the Shannon Foundation's endowment fund. Their gifts are a wonderful tribute to our schools' hard-working teachers and an inspiration to all of us who value community support for our public education system. We can be assured that hundreds of area children will benefit from their generosity for years to come.
