Of Note to Neighbors:

Construction on the addittion to the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education will begin in early April. Bavaro Hall is expected to be complete in early 2010.

Recent Activities:

- On Thursday, March 6, University of Virginia-contracted workers will begin removing a damaged tree between Upper Newcomb Road and Emmet Street near the entrance to the Central Grounds Parking Garage.  The work is expected to be completed on Friday but may extend to Monday, March 10.

A crane will be located at the entrance to the Central Grounds Parking Garage on Emmet Street, which will limit access to and from the garage to one lane.  Travel along Emmet Street is only expected to be affected as equipment is delivered and removed.

Concerns that the tulip poplar, which started to split several years ago, could fall soon prompted the removal of the tree.
