South Lawn Project Update: August 2007
Construction fencing for the South Lawn Project is being installed along the north side of Jefferson Park Avenue, which will change access from JPA into New Cabell Hall. To enter the building, pedestrians will use a new temporary wood stairway on the east side of the building.
Boring for utilities under Jefferson Park Avenue continues, as does duct bank utility work along the south side of the road. Duct bank work on the south side of JPA has been divided into two sections, the east part and the west part. The east part is nearing completion, and work will begin soon on the west part.
Duct bank work along Brandon Avenue is complete, and the area is being cleaned. Workers are installing a temporary road surface in preparation for permanent paving.
