U.Va. Food Mob

On Friday, June 29, a “Food Mob” is planned in support of the Governor’s Bowl Food and Fund Drive. To participate, bring non-perishable food items to the U.Va. Bookstore.  Proceed to customer service and receive a 20 percent off coupon for a U.Va. imprinted clothing or gift item. Participants will also receive parking validation for up to 30 minutes.

With more than 1,600 pounds of food donated to date, the goal is to collect at least another 400 pounds during the mob, giving the University a total of one ton. All donations benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, including their partnering banks and pantries, and help keep shelves stocked during the slow summer months. The Governor’s Bowl Food and Fund Drive concludes July 4.
