Reaching Out to Neighbors
The Community Relations Office communicates University news and developments to area residents. In addition, the office actively works with residents, University officials and students to address issues of mutual interest and concern that often arise when student renters live among longer-term residents.
The office meets regularly with neighborhood associations bordering the University and hosts Neighborhoods Advisory Group and other meetings throughout the year to promote ongoing dialogue with neighborhood leaders.
The office distributes electronic Neighborhood Notices to local residents to provide information about major events, construction or utility projects that bring temporary changes in noise and/or traffic flow in the area. To subscribe to Neighborhood Notices, sign up by sending an email to email@example.com. You can also sign up to the Community E-Newsletter here.
The office also produces resources, such as the Good Neighbor Guide, for those living adjacent to the University.
