U.Va.’s Community Relations Office helps residents and visitors learn about the University. For example, office representatives can give speeches, arrange tours, design exhibits or create special events.
The office engages in numerous signature communication efforts. For example, it holds an annual University-Community Briefing that includes presentations on current initiatives and those on the horizon.
The office also distributes a free monthly e-newsletter that gives University highlights and provides updates on University construction projects. To subscribe, please e-mail communityrelations@virginia.edu.
In addition, the office produces a guide to the services and programs U.Va. offers to Central Virginia residents. The guide describes educational opportunities, medical programs, cultural activities, athletic events and special services.
