Charlottesville Albemarle Transit and Trolley Subsidy
|
U.Va. Parking and Transportation will pay the city a transit subsidy of roughly $200,000 total for fiscal year 2011-2012:
- $60,000 for the free trolley.
- $145,000 for the “reciprocal ridership program” to allow all faculty, staff, and students to ride CAT for free.
Average monthly boardings for U.Va. ID riders:
- July 2009 – June 2010 – 25,932 boardings/month.
- July 2010 – Feb 2011 – 27,786 boardings/month.

Student Housing Inspector

- Implemented in February 2005.
- U.Va. pays approximately $48,000 (salary plus benefits) for Property Maintenance Inspector.
- Duties include enforcing building maintenance requirements, with respect to off-grounds University student housing, primarily in the Lewis Mountain, JPA, Venable and 10th/Page Street neighborhoods.

New Fire Services Agreement

- $250,000 voluntary annual payments. Includes a new contribution of $40,000/year for Hazmat supplies and equipment.
