Whitehead Road Projects
Current Update:
The two Whitehead Road Science Building projects continue to progress and are approximately 10 percent complete. Significant work activities include building foundations, basement walls, and elevated slabs. Minimal work will occur outside of the existing project fence lines.

Project Overview:
Work has begun for two U.Va. facilities, a College of Arts and Sciences Research Building and an Information Technology Engineering Building, that will be constructed along the north side of Whitehead Road. The buildings are key components in U.Va.’s emphasis on science and technology.
The first phase of construction involves installing utilities underground to support the buildings. The work, which will involve construction on both Stadium and Whitehead roads, will affect vehicular traffic flow.
