Risk-Based Corridor Protection: Training and Implementation The University of Virginia Center for Risk Management of Engineering Systems sponsored by the Transportation and Mobility Planning Division of the Virginia Department of Transportation, and by the Virginia Transportation Research Council, is offering no-cost training and consulting on a GIS-based methodology for identifying highway corridor sections that are most vulnerable to future land development.The training is providing regions and localities with capabilities that are or will be required by recent access management legislation that was enacted in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our University of Virginia team will welcome your visit to us, a teleconference, or we will travel to your PDC/MPO/locality and provide follow-up telephone and internet support.
