Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Summer Undergraduate Research Program

A ten-week research program designed for approximately 20 outstanding undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in biomedically related sciences.
Freshmen, sophomores, or juniors, who are contemplating a career in biomedically related science, are eligible. Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and should have completed at least college-level general biology and/or introductory chemistry. The criteria for selection includes the student's undergraduate record, two letters of recommendation, and the applicant's inclination toward research. The applicant must also demonstrate a commitment to a serious summer learning experience.
June - August (ten weeks).
Students will be awarded a $3,000 stipend and housing.
Students need to fill out online application. In addition, students must submit an admissions essay, an official transcript from their college, and two letters of recommendation which must be submitted via our online submission system. These letters should be written by faculty members who are familiar with the student's academic progress and credentials. Students with research experience must submit letters from their research mentors/advisors.
