National Cancer Institute's Integrative Cancer Biology Program

The Summer Cancer Research Fellowship program provides a unique opportunity for eligible sophomores and juniors to engage in innovative, integrative biology approaches to cancer research. Students will be paired with a faculty-mentor from the ICBP Center based on the student's indicated research interests.

Eligibility

Open to sophomores and juniors currently enrolled, at the time of application, in an accredited college or university in the U.S. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Priority will be given to students who have at least a 3.0 GPA over the last three semesters and who have completed course work in science, math, or engineering.

Term

June 7, 2010 - August 6, 2010. Some centers will have modified start/end dates based on the individual Center's summer calendar. Opportunities are available throughout the country.

Support

Students will receive a stipend of $3,300 and a housing allowance of up to $100 a night. Additionally, NCI will cover round trip travel up to $600.
